Emergence until December 1

December 1

Season 1 of Gears of War: E-Day is called Emergence, and it runs for eight weeks from Premium early access until December 1. Premium early access is October 1, 2026, so the eight weeks are measured from that head start rather than from the October 6 worldwide launch. The Coalition's season note is the source. Inside the window the focus is launch maps, launch modes, cosmetics, Halloween, 20 Years of Gears, and Thanksgibbing, printed in that spelling. The bars on this page are a reading order, longer for the season we know the most about, and they are not a count of days. Only Season 1 has a printed end date.

Season 2 is Legacy. Its start date is not printed. A birthday gift lands on November 7 for all E-Day players, and the note ties that gift to the season's anniversary pitch. Dead Serious pays a legendary skin when Season 2 starts. The note does not list the medals, titles, or banners that might sit beside that skin, so those are not invented here. Seasons 3, 4, and 5 are Infiltration, Pendulum, and Devotion. They are named on the roadmap. Their dates are not printed. Post-launch seasons will vary in length, and the note says the team will communicate that length rather than locking it in the Season 1 paragraph.

Five names, one dated window

Read the meter from the top. Emergence is the long bar because it has a start relationship, an end date, and a content list. Legacy is next because it has a gift date and a skin, even without a season-open date. Infiltration, Pendulum, and Devotion are shorter bars because a name is all that is published. If a later post gives Infiltration a Monday, the bar can grow. Growing it now would fake a duration. The eight-week figure belongs only to Season 1, and even that figure is anchored to Premium early access. A Standard player who arrives October 6 joins a season that has already been open for five days.

Launch maps and launch modes in the Season 1 focus are the Kalona campaign, Horde Siege, and Versus as they ship, not a surprise fourth mode. Cosmetics cover the premium seasonal packs as well as whatever the free track contains, and the free track is not itemized. Halloween and 20 Years of Gears are calendar beats inside the eight weeks. Thanksgibbing is the franchise's own holiday spelling and should stay spelled that way when the event arrives. Ranked on October 13 and the weekly challenges that refresh the same day sit inside Season 1 even though they are Versus systems. They are not a separate season.

November 7 and Dead Serious

November 7 is inside the Season 1 window, since Season 1 runs through December 1. The birthday gift is described as Season 2's gift delivered to all E-Day players on the anniversary date. That wording puts a Season 2 reward on a November calendar square without opening Season 2 on that square. Players should expect a gift on November 7 and should not retcon the season transition to that morning unless a later sentence equates them. All E-Day players is the eligibility line. It is not limited to Premium, and it is not limited to players who queued Ranked.

Dead Serious is the other Season 2 reward with a trigger: a legendary skin at the start of the season. The trigger is the season start, which is undated, so the skin is undated. The note calls the season a tour of franchise greatest hits. It does not name the maps, modes, or weapons in that tour. Legacy is the title that carries that pitch. Guessing a returning map from an older Gears game would be fan fiction with a confident voice, and it would be wrong the moment the real list differs. The skin is the concrete reward. The greatest-hits line is the tone.

Why the last three bars stay short

Infiltration, Pendulum, and Devotion were announced as names. Pendulum is a loaded word in this fiction because the Pendulum Wars sit in the history before Emergence Day, and the season title may be a nod. The note does not say the season is a prequel chapter or a weapon set from that war. The campaign of E-Day is already the prequel, fourteen years before the original game, set in Kalona. A multiplayer season named Pendulum can be a cosmetic theme without moving the story. Until the season post says otherwise, the name is a label on the roadmap and the bar stays short.

Devotion closes the printed list of five. There is no Season 6 name. There is no year-two commitment in the paragraph that lists these five. The promise that is printed is communication: post-launch seasons vary in length, and the team will say how long. That is a process sentence a player can use. It means the December 1 end of Emergence should not be copied forward as the length of Legacy. It means a content calendar that draws four equal eight-week blocks is drawing fiction. The meter on this page is deliberately uneven so the eye matches the evidence. Season 1 is the one you can put on a wall calendar tonight.
